Next we will take you to a spectacular windmill village of Zaanse Schans with its characteristic green wooden houses. One of the very first industrial villages of the Netherlands, Zaanse Schans and the surrounding area it were once home to over 700 traditional 16th century Dutch windmills. Of these, only five remain, all perfectly intact, and you will get a chance to tour one with all the traditional mechanisms explained to you.

After your driver picks you up at your hotel in Amsterdam, you will be driven to the nearby city of Delft where you will tour the sights. Next, you will be taken to The Hague where you will get a chance to see for yourself the capital buildings of the nation. Lastly, your driver will drop you off at the Madurodam miniature city. At the end of your tour, you will be taken back to Amsterdam.
This tour covers two of the most historically important cities in the Netherlands, Delft and The Hague, as well as one of the country’s biggest attractions – the model-sized city of Madurodam.
Private Giethoorn Tour
We will start the tour from Amsterdam, your driver/guide will take you to the picturesque town of Giethoorn in the province of Overijssel. Founded by Mediterranean fugitives in 1230AD, the town is known as the “Venice of the North” because instead of main roads the village famously has only canals. Although bikes are used by locals, the only other way of getting around the city is by boat. Most houses are built on little islands connected to each other with high bridges. After some free time to explore the picturesque village on your own, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Amsterdam.
Private Tour Ghent & Bruges
Starting from Amsterdam this tour will take you across the Belgian border to the historic town of Ghent. This city has a long history, dating back to pre-Roman times, and was one of Europe’s biggest cities until the 13th century – a fact reflected in modern-day Ghent architecture. You will have some time to explore the city’s beautifully preserved medieval streets, and after a short coffee break (perhaps with some traditional Flemish pastries!) you will be on your way once again to the next destination.
It is only a short distance to the beautifully romantic town of Bruges. Bruges is the largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region, as well as its capital. The beautiful medieval architecture combined with a unique canal structure never fails to mesmerize visitors, both old and new. We guarantee that you will get swept up in the fairytale atmosphere that envelops this amazing town. If the weather is clear and sunny, we recommend you go on a canal cruise of the city. Although built in corresponding time periods, Bruges’ canals provide a different feel and experience from those found in Amsterdam and are even reminiscent of the canals of Venice. From its canals, to its townhouses, to the wonderful shops selling locally-made lace - Bruges will be an unforgettable experience.
